How to Cancel a CapCut Subscription (iPhone, Android, Web)

You cancel CapCut Pro, Standard or Teams on the platform where you bought it: Apple for iPhone and iPad, Google Play for Android, or your CapCut account on the web or desktop if you paid there. Deleting the app does not cancel anything. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, and you keep paid features until the period you already paid for ends.

Before you start: where did you pay?

CapCut subscriptions renew automatically. CapCut's help center says this applies to CapCut Pro and CapCut Teams, and that you cancel "via the subscription page on the web, PC, or mobile, depending on where you originally subscribed."

If you are not sure where you paid, check your email for a receipt. A receipt from Apple means the App Store. A receipt from Google means Google Play. A receipt from CapCut or a card charge that names CapCut usually means you paid on the web or desktop.

Cancelling in one place does not cancel a subscription bought in another. If you bought Pro twice, for example once on iPhone and once on the web, you need to cancel both.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

Subscriptions bought in the iOS app are billed by Apple, so you cancel them in your Apple account, not inside CapCut.

Cancel on Android

Subscriptions bought in the Android app are billed by Google Play. Google says that when you cancel, "you'll still be able to use your subscription for the time you've already paid."

Cancel on the web or desktop

If you paid on capcut.com or in the CapCut desktop app, cancel from the subscription page in your account. CapCut's help center does not publish an exact menu path, and the labels can read Subscription, Membership or Billing depending on the version.

If you cannot find a cancel option, CapCut asks you to contact support through its ticket form. Include the email or login method on the account, the device or platform, screenshots of the problem and your order number.

  3. 3Choose the option to cancel the subscription or turn off auto-renewal, and confirm.

Cancelling the free trial

CapCut offers a 7-day free trial of CapCut Pro to eligible new users in supported regions, and only if you have never had Pro. A payment method is required, and you are charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first.

Cancel the trial the same way you would cancel a paid plan, on the platform where you started it, and do it at least 24 hours before the trial ends. After you cancel, check the date shown on the subscription page to see when Pro access stops.

Trial availability on mobile depends on your App Store or Google Play region, and CapCut says it needs app version 8.20 or later.

Refunds

CapCut's help center says subscriptions "are considered virtual goods, and generally, purchases do not support refunds." Exceptions, such as being billed twice, go through a refund appeal to CapCut support.

The global CapCut Terms of Service (last updated April 15, 2026) add one more route: you can cancel with a full refund within 14 calendar days of starting the subscription, but only if you have not used the premium services in any form since you subscribed. Refunds under that clause are requested through CapCut's ticket form and paid back to the original payment method.

US users are covered by separate CapCut US Terms of Service, and we could not verify whether they contain the same 14-day wording.

Purchases made through the App Store are refunded only by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Purchases made through Google Play are refunded by Google.

What happens to your projects, cloud storage and credits

Cancelling is not the same as deleting your account. Deleting the account cannot be undone, and CapCut says you will not be able to retrieve any account data or content afterwards. If you want to delete it, do that only after you have exported your videos and backed up your drafts.

Does deleting the CapCut app cancel my subscription?

No. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. You have to cancel it in your Apple account, in Google Play, or in your CapCut account on the web, depending on where you paid.

How late can I cancel before I get charged?

CapCut asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The same applies to the 7-day free trial: cancel at least a day before it ends to avoid the first charge.

Can I get a refund after cancelling CapCut Pro?

Usually not. CapCut's help center says subscriptions generally do not support refunds, with exceptions such as double billing. The global Terms of Service allow a full refund within 14 days only if you have not used the premium services at all. App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded by Apple or Google, not by CapCut.

Will I lose my projects when I cancel?

Projects saved on your device stay there. Cloud storage is suspended when the plan ends, so back up anything stored in the cloud first. Premium assets in older projects may be watermarked once you are on the free plan.

What happens to my AI credits?

Subscription credits can be used until the end of the current billing cycle and then expire. Credits you bought separately are not affected by cancelling.

I cancelled but was still charged. What should I do?

First check that you cancelled on the platform that bills you, and that you do not have a second subscription elsewhere. If the charge came from Apple or Google, request a refund from them. If you paid CapCut directly, open a ticket with CapCut support and include your order number and screenshots.
