How to Download a CapCut Template Video (Phone and PC)
You don't download a CapCut template as a file. You open it in the CapCut app, fill it with your own clips and export the finished video to your phone or computer. To save someone else's template video as it is, open it in the app, tap the "..." menu and choose Save video.

Save a finished template video to your phone
- 1Open CapCut, tap Templates and open the template.
- 2Tap Use template, pick your videos or photos and tap Preview.
- 3Delete the CapCut ending if you don't want it.
- 4Tap the resolution label at the top right and pick 720p, 1080p, 2K or 4K (the options depend on your device and footage).
- 5Tap Export. The video saves to your camera roll.

Export in HD on a computer
Templates are mainly a mobile feature. CapCut desktop shows a limited set of official templates, and CapCut's help says some templates are mobile only and won't open on desktop. For templates that do open, desktop exports let you set resolution up to 4K, frame rate up to 60fps, bitrate and format (MP4 or MOV). CapCut's help says free and Pro users can both export 2K or 4K on desktop.

Watermark and ending rules
- CapCut adds a default ending clip. You can delete it from the timeline before export.
- On the free plan, premium templates, effects and assets add a watermark on export. A paid plan removes it, or you can swap out the premium element.
- Saving a template's example video from the "..." menu gives you the creator's video, which may carry a CapCut ending or watermark.
